For most of my life, I have been surrounded by travel. As a former military brat, my dad traveled abroad to various countries, which introduced me to different places at an early age.
As an adult, I realized that "traveling soothes the soul". Whether a weekend road trip, an exploratory train ride, a relaxing cruise or flight out of town, travel can allow breakaways from day-to-day life by:
- reducing stress and depression;
- improving physical activity and well-being;
- creating life-long memories;
- leading to self-discovery; and
- building cultural acquaintances.
